As reported today by Autocar, Renault is considering in detail the possibility to offer prospective customers of its electric car program a replacement if the car had exhausted its reserves of energy sooner than expected for its realistic possibility. The agreement will cover distances of less effective autonomy of the vehicles in which there were unforeseen circumstances such as long queues, route changes, inclement weather or other situations where the electrical system of the car (wipers, lights, air conditioning ...) can be put to the test.
Renault is considering this possibility in very concrete terms: among the issues that are currently under consideration, for example, the number of emergency actions that a driver can take over a year.
