Renault Twingo electric confirmed for 2014

The giant Renault-Nissan, thanks to the agreements reached with Mercedes last year that both parties are open to new industrial roads for the future, aims to expand in the coming years its range of electric cars: it has been confirmed for 2014 the debut of an all-electric version of the forthcoming Twingo.

The Franco-Japanese manufacturer, which will occur at the start of the race in pole position to zero emissions, will therefore not waste the advantage once the other big automotive world descend on the field of ecology. The Twingo ZE is waiting for exactly the second half of the year, as revealed by Jacques Bousuqet, a number of Renault Italy.

Thanks to the agreements reached with Germany's Daimler AG, said Bousquet, it was possible to bring forward plans to launch a new electric city car. The bet on batteries is becoming more ambitious.
