Safety: Road to the crime of Murder

The transport committee of the House of Representatives is working to introduce the new offense as murder Road. This was stated by Mr Mario Valducci, chairman of the committee said in an interview that as the bill is a necessary act and that will change for the better road safety. The same Valducci anticipates that in the coming weeks the committee that presides over the chamber will present the bill to introduce the new crime murder road as the Criminal Code.

In addition, the process for approval of the law might be faster than expected since the pressure of numerous association of road accident victims who fight tirelessly for many years to transform the manslaughter, perpetuated by pirates of the road, in murder. Increasingly, in fact many of the leaders who have caused fatal accidents, even under the assumption of drugs and alcohol, serving small penis and in some cases can even get away with it.

Even Joseph Cassani, chairman dell'Aifvs (Association of Italian families and victims of road), has repeatedly stressed that those who commit murder on the road while he was in a position to kill (drunk or drugged) should be considered a criminal and not only advocate an accident, thus underlining once and for all the sacred value of life as absolute and inalienable.

The latest annual statistics Istat are clear: in our country occur on average every 24 hours 598 road accidents that kill and injure 13 people - sometimes seriously - well 849, another fact to be reckoned with and that 70% of accidents takes place in the evening. To run for cover, the European Union has set itself the ambitious target of reducing by 50% of the total accidents in 2020.

Italy for its part is organizing several initiatives to educate people - especially young people - to road safety and the risks s'incorrono driving in poor conditions. ANIA, the Road Safety Foundation, each year organizes the campaign "Drive safely" which aims to promote the role of designated driver among young people leaving in the evening to go and have fun.

Of note is the new road safety campaign launched by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport "on track", which has as its spokesperson Gigi Proietti. The new campaign as well as being broadcast on the major Italian television networks, last February 12 to 13, was projected on large screens of football's most important in Italy.
