The shadow of Batman on a '67 Toronado

To many the name George Barris will not say anything, but in the U.S. and especially in the world of television is a small living legend. Indeed, he was creating the famous Batmobile for the TV series of Sixty (also passed in Italy) in which the protagonist was the actor Adam West. Among the creations of Barris also appeared with the 70-X Toronado proposed here, the only car of its kind - being made of a heavy customization of an Oldsmobile Toronado of 1967 - for the occasion was made in 4 pieces at the behest of an entrepreneur wealthy and exhibited at the Expo in Montreal, Canada.

The news, for fans and collectors of unique cars out of the ordinary is that the 70-X Toronado in question has been put up for auction on eBay at a price among other things, considered quite low by experts: 99mila dollars. Many details and all the rest of the amendments prepared by Barris for this car.

From the wheel to the profiles plus tip placed at four corners of the car. Abundant use of chrome also to embellish the details, even inside, dominated by the use of leather upholstery for the seats and the rear bench, roots and even a removable wooden top desk function.
