Sportiness and elegance are the distinguishing features of this variant of the A3 Sportback, which will obviously be available in 5-door features exterior colors such as white ibis, black, pearl, red and Misano in two shades of gray and pearl Daytona Suzuka.
Many unusual aesthetic details from the previous generation, such as bumpers and redesigned front and rear, as well as aluminum wheels 5-spoke 19-inch, four tailpipes and side sills, which are combined with details renewed scattered in the cockpit, where there are new coatings and finishes for specific steering wheel, flat bottom, dash and doors.
Also present Recaro sports seats upholstered in Nappa leather with contrast stitching and a ride height lowered by 2.5 cm. The real strength of the RS Sportback, however, is definitely the engine, the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged direct injection and capable of delivering a maximum power of 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, for a specific output of 137, 1 hp per liter, which allows the sedan from the German to reach a top speed of 250 km / h and an electronically limited step from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds.
Performance managed by the leading four-wheel drive and dual clutch S-tronic seven-speed, a unit capable of operating in auto mode or sequentially, through the rocker arms placed behind the wheel. Consumption are declared instead of 9.1 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions come to 212 g / km: interesting results thanks to the presence of kinetic energy recovery system during braking.
Regarding the budget, we report the presence of xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights, front fenders in carbon fiber reinforced (CFRP), the shells of the side mirrors with matte aluminum finish, the Concert radio with MP3 function , AUX jack in the center console, a 5-channel amplifier and 10 speakers active for a total power 140 watts.
The price, which have already been announced well in advance, is € 52,100.
