Tata Pixel: soon debut in Europe

Tata could soon launch the production version of the Pixel in Europe. The news, reported by a well-known English text, should therefore be to disprove the hypothesis of a debut in the old continent for a version of "enriched" the Nano. The pixel is the most advanced version of that concept car, topped with western style and content.

The Indian giant is convinced that the medium is "the most efficient four places in the world." The vertices of the same house would have ensured that the car, with conventionally hinged doors and purified of elements to show-car is almost ready for production. The frame is shorter than the Nano, revised to improve handling and noise.

Less than 3 meters long (250 mm shorter than the model-derived), will weigh just 750 kg and CO2 emissions below 100 g / km. Merit 3-cylinder 60 bhp 1.2 diesel, housed under the rear seats and combined with a 5-speed transmission. Tata also assured that it will soon release a 4-door with the same step of the Nano.

The CEO Ratan Tata, asked about rumors concerning a crisis of production of Nano, said that initially the trade volumes were lower than expected due to defects in marketing. "The Nano is half that in many areas of the country aims to replace the motorcycles, especially in rural areas where the buyers are mainly new cars." Currently the Nano is made of 9000 units per month, while the house aims to produce a total 200,000 cars a year.
