The tuner Hamann Richard dies at 53

The world of tuning is dressed in mourning. At the age of 53 years has disappeared Richard Hamann, owner and founder of the brand of tuning in 1986, due to a lung cancer that had struck him long ago. It must be one of the great names from German history that dominate the European and world affairs with their processing.

Hamann was always linked to the world of four wheels, especially having been a racing driver who has participated in over 700 races during his racing career, winning 103 and going up to 300 times on the podium. At the wheel of a BMW M1 also won three times in the Special touring car trophy.

Among the other competitions where the note class appear competed German DTM, Formula 3 and Group C. Creator of developing specifications for exclusive cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley, Hamann has outdone himself on a number of BMW, Mercedes and Porsche establishing itself as one of the best tuners in the industry.

Despite the untimely death the leaders of the German mark confirmed that the activities of the brand will continue uninterrupted for new projects and solutions for the 4 wheels.
