Webasto Edscha is the fabric roof for the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet deliver. The roof opens automatically in 9.5 seconds. In Germany, the open-top four-seater that on the Sunday (03/13/2011) celebrates ending Geneva Motor Show premiered already ordered. The first deliveries will take place from mid-May.
Edscha Webasto has developed a top-Z-folding mechanism which works well for up to a cruising speed of 30 mph. To improve the acoustic properties of both the deck and the hydraulic unit are provided with special insulation. In interpreting the kinematics, care was taken to integrate a large rear window, which provides good visibility.
Open, oh, covers the top of the front bow of the top storage area from the large area. This could be dispensed with an additional top compartment lid, which will also positively on the total weight of the vehicle. In the third generation Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet also dispensed with a fixed roll bar.
