Bugster: the Beetle, which hides a Boxster

Never would take two cars to join them in a conceptually different kind of hybrid on four wheels? Well, the tuner Siegfried Rudolf, founder of the Swiss CarMaxx, he did and the result is quite fascinating. The two cars in question are both German, and have the engine mounted in the front position. But apart from these, no other common points.

In fact we are talking about a Volkswagen Beetle, 1973, and a Porsche Boxster in 2000, which were combined to form the Bugster. The idea came after noticing the similarity of the passage between the two cars parked nearby, and after convincing his wife, owner of the Boxster, to open the "fusion".

After hours of hard work, Mr. Rudolf has given shape to his project and has produced a car with a unique flavor. From the outside looks like a Beetle nicely renovated and well cared for, but the details betray the heart transplant and the suspension system. In fact, the large 18-inch alloy wheels and side vents reveal the presence of the Boxster, which survives in the body.

The interiors are pure Porsche and mix well with the rounded shapes of the Beetle. In the engine compartment now breathe a powerful Porsche engine with 270 hp that has rejuvenated this Volkswagen in 1973.
