Chevrolet Camaro 45th Anniversary Edition

Continue the celebration of Chevrolet: after a few days ago the launch of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition, made in honor of 100 years of the mark in Detroit, here comes the Camaro 45th Anniversary Special Edition, limited edition made in honor of the 45-year career the famous American muscle car was born in 1966 and produced in 5 series.

This special series will advance further the model year 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, an update that will be particularly the new 3.6-liter V6 engine, capable of 323 hp at 6800 rpm cast. The main innovation that is bringing this engine is the gasoline direct injection, which allowed a power increase of 8 hp compared to the engine it replaces, but does not affect consumption and emissions.

The 2012 model year of the Camaro not only earns a new engine, it also has aesthetic improvements such as new instrument graphics, the brand new sport steering wheel and some accessories such as rear camera for easier reverse parking. In addition, the sports versions gain the new SS FE4 suspension, which improve the understeer during cornering, giving a more neutral behavior when the car is brought to the limit.

As mentioned earlier, the 2012 Camaro will be anticipated by a special edition called the 45th Anniversary Special Edition dedicated to the Top of the range, available in both coupe and declination in the convertible. The Special Edition is immediately recognizable for the new gray and red graphics on the bonnet and tail of the car, but also adds 20-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler and revised headlamps, as well as logos commemorative "45th".

The interior is enriched with precious materials such as leather embellished by white stitching, blue and red that are taken also from the sports steering wheel, shift knob and the center armrest. The Camaro 45th Anniversary Special Edition is expected in the North American market by the end of 2011, several months ahead of the 2012 model year, the list price but have not yet been disclosed.

The arrival of this version of "anniversary" for the moment there is no provision in the old continent, although the long-awaited debut of American sports is set in Italy just after the summer.
