Citron DS5

Citroën continues to 'feed' their luxury range of DS with the third member, the DS5. This is a crossover sedan of 4.52 meters long with diesel hybrid technology and 200 hp. Following the familiar DS3 and DS4 imminent, Citroën has just shown the third member of the Premium range, the DS5, which debuts at Auto Show Shangahai.

We are in a saloon hatchback of 4.52 meters smaller than a Citroen C5 and larger than a C4-that incorporates the latest technology brand gala. We are talking about diesel technology HYbrid 4 incorporates a hybrid system consisting of electric motor and diesel engine which is capable of delivering 200 hp and levels of fuel consumption and reduced emissions: 99 g / km of CO2.

It is also able to incorporate four-wheel drive. In terms of design, the picture of this DS5 reminiscent of a sporty compact large, with sharp features design and load capacity of a family saloon (enough space for five seats and up to 465 liters of luggage compartment, as Citroën). Aesthetically, it has been careful detail, with a front that respects the DNA of the creations DS (oversized air intake, chrome grille, double Chevron maximized, LED lights) and other elements that magnify your musculature, such as alloy wheels between 16 and 19 inches (20 inches on the prototype will be exhibited in Shanghai), rear spoiler and twin exhaust pipes.

Inside, the pursuit of excellence is the goal, with a cockpit-oriented cockpit and not too high. The 'Head Up Display' button and the boot are incorporated in an interior in red and white and full of information for which drive the wheel. Debut, as I say, in the Hall of Shanghai, but will not reach our roads until the end of 2011.
