Fiat Sales -20% in March, but Alfa is a record

Do not encourage Fiat sales figures recorded in March: a -20% in Europe and a market share fell to 6.7% (from 7.9), the numbers of the Italian brand are particularly harmful. The Lingotto has registered 106,836 new cars, compared with 133,563 a year ago. If nothing else, consolation, it was all over the market of the Old Continent to record a sharp decline: -4.7% over the same period last year.

One thing that's clear as hopeful seen in the figures of February, in which there was an increase of 1.4%. In the first three months of 2011 sales were down 2% to 3,690,389 units. At the same time, the Lingotto has registered 263,894 units, down 19%. In this view, however, Gray seems to be an island green, the Alfa Romeo brand of snake remains the fastest growing brand in Europe, both in March (+65.3%), both in the quarter (+49.4 %).

Especially appreciated is the new Juliet which is recording encouraging sales figures in line with the expectations of the home. And, as morally important, it's going well in European markets abroad. Meanwhile, Fiat is preparing to make the 500 landed in China in a recent interview with Quattroruote, Lorenzo Sistino, head of Fiat's international operations, said the small house in Turin will be used to "break the ice" in the booming Asian market.

"The more we sell the better, but for us the value of the car on the Chinese market at this time is mainly to brand positioning, to introduce the Fiat brand and the values of Italian style."
