Jaguar and Land Rover: 40 new models in five years!

Aim high JaguareLand Rover. The two brands are "Made in UK" want to expand their range of models around the world, taking advantage of strong demand, according to estimates of the vertices of the two houses will come mainly from emerging markets like Brazil, India and China. To confirm it was the first director of sales Phil Popham who promised "the introduction of 40 new products over the next five years" for both carmakers.

Great expectations on the new Range Rover Evoque also will be the premium model range as Jaguar Land Rover is owned by Indian conglomerate Tata. Soon it may also get a Land Rover compact segment with average estimated price of less than 30 thousand euro. "There are no specific plans at the moment, but it is a hypothesis we are thinking about," said John Edwards, brand director of the brand.

The Land Rover tomorrow also will build on hybrid technology and materials such as aluminum, developed by Jaguar in order to reduce the weight of cars up to 500 kg lighter than current models. On the Jaguar finally the long awaited 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine that will debut on the XF, and the 3-liter V6 XJ focussing particularly on the markets of China, Russia and the Middle East.

Similarly, engineers are working to introduce a four-wheel drive for the XF and XJ to support sales in the U.S. (for the XF could also get a version of "bad" along the lines of the XKR-S). Objective needless to say is eroding market shares in the German competition throughout the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class, do not entirely successful with the X-type.
