Mercedes E63 AMG, debuts the new twin-turbo V8

The Class E63 AMG naturally aspirated engine went from a supercharged engine that breathes better because of two turbochargers and provides exceptional performance with fuel consumption reduced by 22%. Mercedes A beautiful place in the house that aims to reduce emissions from its models through the downsizing combined with the use of the turbocharger.

The heart of the new E63 AMG V8 with an aluminum base, adjustable variable camshaft, intercooler air to water, spray-guided direct injection with piezo injectors and automatic start / stop. Its project code is 157 M and is capable of providing a power of 525 hp and 700 Nm of torque, these values increase to 557 hp and 800 Nm in the version with the AMG Performance package.

With this cavalry acceleration from 0-100 km / h is burned in just 4.2 seconds (sedan with AMG performance package), while the top speed is electronically governed to 250 km / h. These are important numbers that require deep technical measures to ensure adequate handling dynamics, which is why Mercedes has expanded the roadway of 56 mm and with the suspension of a system of automatic level control.

But not all, the E 63 AMG also features the new AMG sports parameter steering to drive electromechanical transmission ratio that provides a more direct (14: 1) and a variable power assistance according to driving style. To curb the spirits of the hot sports car family, the AMG has adopted a specific braking system with composite brake on the front and set up the opportunity to mount brake ceramic material.

Do not miss next-generation devices to minimize the risk of accidents such as the Active Blind Spot Assist, which, thanks to the special short-range radar sensors available to warn the driver where the lane change causing the risk of collision with other vehicles and operates by activating the brakes on the wheels slightly on the opposite side of the car through the electronic stability program when the driver ignored his recommendations.
