Last weekend has landed in the Italian Mercedes dealerships, the expectation of the third generation SLK, the roadster-coupe of Mercedes-Benz revamped aesthetics, dynamic qualities and technological equipment. Also debuting with the innovative retractable hardtop Sky Magic Control Technology, a device that allows you to control, via a switch located on the bridge, grading the transparency of the glass roof.

Aesthetically, the new SLK incorporates modern styles of the house opened by the recent four-door CLS coupe, but does not give up style reminiscent of the past inspired by "sacred cows" as the legendary Mercedes 190 SL 1955. Improvement in aerodynamics than the version it replaces (the Cx increased from 0.32 to 0.30), the new SLK comes with a long bonnet that ends in an aggressive front, characterized by large grille with the three-pointed star that separates the sleek headlights, contrasting harmoniously short tails and enveloping.
The style of this sporty roadster was emphasized by the side that expresses at the same time strength and elegance thanks to the waistline and balanced with some sporty details like side gills located behind the generous wheelhouse. The interior, designed to comfortably accommodate two people, is austere and refined with elegance and simplicity of design of components and suffused illumination provided by SPERSE courtesy lights throughout the cockpit.
In addition, the cockpit appears to be particularly successful in the wide center console that takes inspiration from her older sister SLS AMG, particularly in the form of jets of ventilation system separate from the large screen media. At launch the new Mercedes SLK is offered with three petrol engines: it starts with the 1.8-liter, 184 hp in the SLK 200, also declined from 204 hp version of the SLK 250, and to place it on top of the range V6 3.5-liter, 305 hp, which equips the SLK 350.
The technological features offered by the new spider German in addition to having the aforementioned Magic Sky Control, offers the lucky passengers also Airscarft device that diffuses warm air in the neck area, which assisted by Airguide windbreak can try driving pleasure also in the discovery coldest days.
Of note is the special leather that covers the steering wheel, gear shift and seat, able to repel the sun the weather is hot and muggy.
