Launched in 1967, the Chevrolet Camaro next year will make 45 years. And the model year 2012 of the American sports will be an opportunity to improve in all respects: among the many new features, the model will debut a version of the 3.6 V6 with direct injection of the most powerful and able to ensure suspension behavior Road to the sporty SS.
The improvements will also be the interior-new instrument panel and steering wheel-and technology: it should be noted that among the debuts of the new rear camera parking aid. This summer, as announced by Chevrolet, will also be given a limited edition 45th Anniversary and named based on its MY 2012.
Early next year, finally, will debut the ZL1 Camaro, the sportiest of the range. Back to us, the current 3.6 V6 will go into production in the summer. Its peak power is increased from 317 hp to 328 hp delivered at 6800 rpm, while its consumption has remained unchanged, thanks to the reduction of weight, equal to 9.3 kg.
Further innovation, the arrival of a petrol pump more quiet and efficient. Chevrolet Camaro Model Year 2012 New FE4 suspension for the Camaro SS include front and rear shocks from the new calibration, as well as novel anti-roll bars front and rear of 23 and 24 mm in diameter respectively.
The set comes from the experience with road tests of the ZL1. The tests have led to redesign the suspension geometry: the attacks of anti-roll bars (also a new design) have been relocated outside of the attacks of the shock absorbers for better control of fluctuations in cash and a correct response in committed leadership.
