Nissan Nismo Leaf Rc: the electric car racing

New York Motor Show which opens next April 21 will be presented in an exclusive Nissan Nismo RC Leaf, a racing version of the electric car in Japan. Nissan Nismo RC Leaf Green is a race car, built using much of the carbon fiber and battery and motor located in the central part of the car. The car weighs 938 kg, much less than the Leaf series, and is slightly different in size: 20 mm 170 mm longer and wider.

The structure has been lowered and the wheels chosen by Nissan technicians are Bridgestone P225/40 R18 mounted on rims 6 spoke. Leaf on the sides of the Nissan Nismo RC you can see the bulging fenders and there is a big wing on the tail resting on a double center support. The Leaf Nissan Motor racing is identical to the standard machine, as well as 24 kWh batteries that provide 20 minutes of battery life and need only 30 minutes to be charged 80%.

Nissan Nismo RC Leaf reaches 100 km / h in 6.85 seconds and reaches 150km / h top speed. That this is an important step towards the racing electric cars?
