Nissan Sport Compact Concept in Shanghai

Nissan has submitted to the Shanghai Motor Show 2011, an interesting exercise in style that foreshadows a future compact with a sporting brand in Japan. This is the Nissan Sport Compact Concept, model made in collaboration between the headquarters of Nissan and the Chinese branch of the group. The result is a car three doors from a pleasing, long 348 cm and 144 cm high (and therefore smaller than the Micra), where simple lines and "soft" are mixed with elements of sport, such as the large wheels that attract attention at first glance, confirming the intention of Nissan, which said it had made this model to meet the tastes of young people in developing countries.

The cabin is derived from that of the Nissan Micra, which differs from the approach to the instrument, which on this concept has a vaguely high-tech, for the steering wheel with flat bottom and the materials used for coatings fabric of the seats that set us apart for some red inserts. The engine chosen for the prototype in Shanghai is a 1.6 turbo 190 hp coupled to a Continuously Variable Transmission CVT, which can also be used in manual mode with six speeds.

Nissan has shown emerging as a public dock where the concept is given, but did not detail the conversation about his actual landing on the market as a production model. There are also those who assumed that this compact, the Japanese would be inspired to make a possible 3-door version of the Micra, which is currently only available in 5-door variant.
