Renault launched a contest to design the future R4

The French company Renault has decided to launch an international competition to design the future of Renault R4. The competition Renault 4 Ever was born at the 50th birthday of the little French Renault 4 and asks participants to redesign the modern version of the old car. Those who participate in the competition will then be good to combine the new design with new technologies to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Projects with complete engineering drawings of Reanult R4 will be judged by a jury that will see the participation of Renault's head of design: Laurens van den Acker. The deadline for taking part in the Renault 4 Ever is June 16, 2011 and winners will be announced next July. As for the awards Renault has put at stake for the winner who took part in the R4 last Monte Carlo Historique, 1965, a car that has a value of about € 15,000, while the second and third respectively, 5 ' 000 and 3,000 €.
