Video: Audi TT RS VS BMW 1 Series M Coupe Infiniti G37 Coupe VS IPL

CARAndDriver compares three high-performance coupes: Audi TT RS, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe and the Infiniti G37 coupe IPL. The three cars, as well as by segment, are also quite distant at a technical level: the TT RS is a sports car with pentacilindrico engine and permanent four wheel drive. Road can hold medium-high, "seems to drive a more powerful TT S".

Unfortunately, his charm and that of the engine, ending as soon as you have to reckon with the cold philosophy of its four-wheel drive that makes it fast but not exciting. BMW stands instead for a very balanced chassis-engine package: it is certainly worthy of the emblem sewn on the rear trunk.

Improvements to mechanical and all'assetto brought to full maturity a good base already. And the end result is remarkable. The IPL represents an evolution of the Infiniti luxury coupe of the Japanese: the work of the structure, but does not revolutionize, helps to enhance its quality. The G37 is confirmed fun to drive, the only batch that snubs the charge in favor of a V6 3.7 from mellow sound quite convincing.

Unfortunately, the Japanese, who belongs to a very different segment, it shows even the most lazy to pick up speed because of the weight. The TT confirms once again be able to "give the pay to many noble sport, but the driver," seems to have a secondary role "when you decide to crank it up.

The suspension also makes it too hard not suitable to be used every day. More usable, the BMW is still the most balanced, and the most fun to drive of the lot. But BMW could not do before?
