Volvo: no model on the S80. Two new factories in China

Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby has denied a willingness to establish a new flagship, the S80 more luxurious and refined. "Our medium and long term plans do not provide a high-end sedan. Before entering the segment F we must consolidate our 'core business', that is smaller than the cars. " With these words, gathered by AutomotiveNews, Jacoby has therefore suggested that the new style introduced by Concept Universe will not be used by a brand new product range but will be refunded in the future, starting from the next-generation S80.

The renewal of the range will be funded with $ 11 billion, a figure that includes charges for the construction of some plants in China by 2013 will be completed on site in Chengdu, while it is in the process of designing the system of Daqing. These two plants will help Swedish manufacturer to achieve the goal of 200,000 cars a year by 2015.
