Hyundai i40 gets four-door variant

The Asian manufacturer is showing his interest in the Old World: After the success met with the i40 Station Wagon, Hyundai now launches three-volume version of the i40 and choose the Barcelona Motor Show 2011 for it. Design and comfort are the keys to the South Korean sedan. What do you think? Leave your comments, the most interesting will be published in the journal Hwy.

Alternatively, this news debate on our forums. After displaying the Station Wagon variant at the Geneva Motor Show 2011, Hyundai has now reached the Barcelona shows the sedan version of its i40 hatchback. Like the first variant unveiled in Europe a few months ago, this has been developed at the European R & D, Hyundai, located in Rüsselsheim (Germany), and identity reflects the new design language started with Elixir -ONIC we met in Geneva in 2009.

We talked about this fluid sculpture, inspired by the forms of nature, a very common trend in the Asian manufacturers. The same can also be seen in models like or ix20 ix35. The South Korean sedan not only shows some impressive ways at the same fluid, closely conforming to European taste, well, enjoys an outstanding interior comfort debtor a generous wheelbase of 2.77 meters.

On the other hand, although the Asian manufacturer does not provide any data on the mechanics, no doubt, be identical to those offered in the Station Wagon variant. We talked about the turbocharged direct injection diesel CRDi 1.7 115, 136 and 160 hp, and the GDI petrol versions of 177 hp 2.0 liter and 1.6 liters and 140 hp.

Presumably, the same way, the engines powered by diesel technology will be associated to the Blue Eco Drive line which furnishes, among other benefits, the start-stop system Start & Stop engine. The four-door Hyundai i40 is displayed to the world at the Barcelona Motor Show 2011 on Thursday May 12, in Hall 8 of Montjuic Exhibition Centre.
