Readers voted the most sporting cars

Almost 11 400 readers of the magazine "Sport Auto", so more than ever have, "the sportiest cars of 2011" selected. At the top of the favor is Porsche. In 15 categories for standard vehicles occupied seven models of the Stuttgart manufacturer the first place. A second and two third places round the track record for Porsche.

In addition to the Cayman R won the Panamera Turbo and Boxster S and 911 Turbo models GTS Convertible GTS Convertible Carrera, GT3 and GT3 RS. Last year, Porsche had won three categories. Highly successful BMW also cut off with four class wins and five other podium finishes. The vote as the sportiest car of the year won the M3, the 335i and 335d Coupé and the Mini John Cooper Works.

The top position in the respective vehicle category also occupied the Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS, the Volkswagen Golf R, Audi RS3 Sportback and the Lotus Elise. Moreover, in ten categories, the winners were selected among the tuning vehicles. Here again dominated Porsche. It won: Mini Cooper S CS by Schafer, VW Golf GTI by Abt, BMW 535d F10 by Hartge, Audi S4 Avant MTM, Mercedes-Benz E V12 Brabus, Porsche Boxster Spyder Speedart, Porsche GT Street R by Tech Art, Porsche Cayman by R Wendland, Porsche and Manthey M480Cayman of R-R Porsche GT9 9ff.
