Skoda Fabia RS 2000 Concept

The Czech brand surprises at the Wörthersee 2011 meet with a prototype based on the Fabia RS 2000 rally. This is a design exercise that removes the roof and mechanical and name it shares with the competition model. What do you think? Leave your comments, the most interesting will be published in the journal Hwy.

Alternatively, this news debate on our forums. The World Wörthersee Tour 2011 is coming to an end, but we still keep coming news of this appointment that came as a meeting devoted to preparations of the Volkswagen Golf GTI. In fact, in this edition of the show, we were able to enjoy the special version of the Golf GTI in honor of 35 anniversary of the legendary compact, as well as the impressive A1 Clubsport Quattro.

Could not miss the quote mark 'small' the Volkswagen group, which gets all dressed up with a design exercise to be surprised more than one. The Czech concept is based on the version of the IRC (Intercontinental Rally Challenge) Skoda Fabia, RS 2000, which suggests that inherits the mechanics of it: four-wheel drive associated with the 2.0 liter engine and 280 hp.

The latter is pure speculation and that the manufacturer has not provided any information on the Fabia RS 2000 Concept, limited only to display in their booth. The design is bold and own a prototype that never see the light. This is evidenced by the absence of ceiling or roof, reminiscent in some ways the Audi TT Clubsport Quattro Wörthersee also shown in 2007.

While the exuberance of that concept could not compare with the model of Skoda, yes there are common elements, not only in setting but also in cutting down the glass. Moreover, there is no doubt that this is a Czech manufacturer model, where all properties of the current generation forms the Skoda Fabia.
