From Castle Bromwich, near Birmingham, in Monaco of Bavaria on a single tank of fuel. This is accomplished by the company Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel put in the hands of independent testing expert David Magdwick. The company was commissioned by the British to witness the same house with the facts the efficiency of its four-cylinder diesel that powers the XF and the answer seems to be short of intentions.
England game with more than 5,000 kilometers behind, the Jaguar XF 2.2 protagonist of this small company has covered a distance of 1,313 km with one tank of fuel, on his journey across four countries up to arrive in Germany, with a path made of motorways, country roads and city streets are characterized, as we know, not exactly flowing with traffic.
In Monaco, the XF Magdwick was welcomed by Andy Whyman, Chief Programme Engineer for the XF, which said: "All the car development team is very proud of the result obtained by the new XF 2.2. A result that shows not only the efficiency of the new model, but it shows how the performance and the reduction in consumption can be combined together.
"The numbers are very interesting and show a total consumption of 64 liters of diesel fuel, for an average of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers, which confirms the great qualities of this engine, able to represent an attractive option for those who do not disdain to save on fuel consumption and emissions even when driving a high-end sedan like the XF.
Turbodiesel engine 2.2 will debut with the arrival of the Jaguar XF model year 2012 expected in September and will bring a power of 190 horsepower and peak torque of 450 Nm and will be paired with the new ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, acceleration from performance consist of 0 to 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 225 km / h, CO2 emissions are declared instead of 149 g / km, and then particularly low values achieved thanks to the presence of the Start & Stop system to debut on a Jaguar model.
