Subaru: four new models by 2016

Subaru plans to launch four new models between now and 2016. From coupe in collaboration with Toyota, which will arrive next spring, up to a new hybrid in 2013 and linked to Hybrid Tourer Concept of 2009, the news are many and interesting. Arrivals in the show are part of a five-year development plan called V and Motion announced in recent days by the Japanese.

The objective of the offensive is to bring product sales at an altitude of 900,000 units worldwide by 2016. 2011, according to current predictions, expected to close at an altitude of 633,000 units. Markets bet on which Subaru stronger, are the USA and China, where the house of the Pleiades mass production will start soon, probably in a joint venture with Chery.

Another objective of the plan Motion V is the reduction of consumption and emissions of the average range for 30%. Not only that Subaru aims eventually become a global leader in terms of active and passive safety systems.
