A BMW spokesman confirmed the rumors about the spider known so far as Z2, which will be shown in prototype form at the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March). This new sports roadster future opponent of Porsche-Audi-Volkswagen, will be designed to anticipate some new styling elements and therefore will remain a mere proposal of style, waiting five years between the car finally debuts with front-wheel drive platform .
As leaked, the BMW Z2 (the name is purely provisional) will have a visible air vents on the hood, wheel arches and a domed roof removable similar to those already proposed by the Z1. Under the hood could be set the recent two-liter turbocharged engine (Autobild dixit), while Car favors the use of starvation three-cylinder petrol 1.6.
Voices from Germany also belie the business plan and announce that the Z2 will debut in late 2012, followed by the type coupe.
