The Fiat 1.3 Multijet 16 valve has exceeded 4 million units produced. On February 4 Indeed, in the Polish plant of Bielsko Biala Fiat Powertrain has produced the four millionth 1.3 16v Multijet turbodiesel four-cylinder. The engine was launched in 2003 and was the first to introduce Multijet technology, an evolution of the Common-Rail, also introduced by Fiat in 1997.
During the 7-year career the 1.3 Multijet has received numerous awards, including, in 2005, the engine of the year. The engine is the latest evolution of the Multijet II, in fact it is capable of handling up to eight consecutive injections at the same combustion cycle. The 1.3 Multijet Eora available in different power steps: starting from 75 horses with fixed geometry turbocharger, you pass the 85 horses and you get up to 95, with a variable geometry turbocharger.
