Ford expands lead in the World Rally Championship

Following the triple triumph at the World Cup opener in Sweden Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen and Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila have the new Ford Focus RS WRC Rally Mexico which ended in places two and three. Winner Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena were the Citroën WRC DS3. Mikko Hirvonen extended its lead in the drivers' championship by winning the additional three points awarded extra "Power Stage" at the end of the rally from nine points.

In second place is Loeb. Latvala occupied with 31 points in third place. (Ampnet / jri)
