Ferrari may soon increase its production to 8000 units per year. The announcement was the same Luca Cordero di Montezemolo in an 'interview with a well-known German magazine: "Much will depend on markets such as India, Latin America and China. There is strong potential for growth there. " The importance of the square, China is now obvious: since the end of this year, China could become the sales volume the third largest shopping for cars from Maranello.
Estimates for 2011 predict a production of 6.800/7.000 for 2011 copies, 500 of which will eventually own the People's Republic (in 2010 had been 300). The final result will depend also from Japan (where they sold about 400 cars a year), hit by the tragedy of the earthquake and nuclear catastrophe.
In addition we must consider carefully how long the markets will keep developing these growth rates.
