Ford at the show in New York renewed the Taurus, the object of a slight facelift and technical updates that will debut on the market in 2012. Although it is a model specifically dedicated to the American market, it is interesting to observe how design and technology are now global reach: the Taurus, in fact, propose the 2-liter EcoBoost Turbo 240 hp 3.5 V6 as an alternative to renewed aspirated 290 hp while the SHO will sport the 3.5 Turbo EcoBoost V6 at 370 hp.
For all, the only transmission available is the automatic 6-speed and power consumption of the "small" 2-liter at an average of 7.6 l/100 km. Aesthetically speaking, the Taurus has been modified with new front grille, new bumper with integrated daytime running lights and redesigned bonnet, while the rear features include new LED lights.
Also revised the bridge, different in design and improved materials, but always characterized by the fully digital instrumentation and the latest generation multimedia system MYFORD Touch, now simplified in the controls. The sport version SHO is recognizable by the front grill without strips, wheels from 19 "and rear spoiler.
