Mugen present its version of the Honda CR-Z in July 2011 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It will be unique, but the purpose is to gather support for a proposed special equipment and some aftermarket components for Japanese hybrid coupe. The first photos show us the most interesting part of the process, ie the engine compartment, which will accommodate a supercharging system dedicated to the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder, now capable of 200 hp and 25 lb-ft of torque.
A change will also be part of the IMA hybrid system, with new components for the engines to work in harmony, in addition to special intake and exhaust and other internal components of the engine. According to the Mugen CR-Z will perform "worthy of a Type R" with consumption of neighbors, if not better, the CR-Z series, thanks to higher torque.
To better manage the full-bodied power increase, however, will also install an adjustable trim and roadways will be widened with new forged wheels 17 ". The braking system will be enhanced with 4-piston front calipers, while aerodynamic bumper and will be reviewed with a sporting, alleviating many components than standard.
To contribute to the reduction of mass will also remove the rear passenger compartment, as well as carbon fiber hood.
