Opel Astra 2.0 CDTI Ecoflex with 13 percent fuel savings

Opel offers the Ecoflex technology including start / stop automatic now available for the Astra 2.0 CDTI. The optional package is in inner city areas to reduce fuel consumption significantly. Opel expects savings of up to 0.8 liters per 100 kilometers - a reduction of up to 13 percent. Decreases in the combined and the average CO2 emissions of 118 kW / 160 hp Astra 2.0 CDTI thanks Start / Stop - from 129 to 119 grams per kilometer.

The estate version, the Astra Sports Tourer consumed, thanks to technology, less: only 4.7 instead of 5.1 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. This represents a reduction from 134 to 124 grams of CO2. With the introduction of start / stop Opel wants to lower fuel consumption and emissions continuously.

The technology is currently available for Agila, Corsa and Astra. By the spring of 2012 the enterprises 34 vehicle / engine combinations will provide the technology - including all Astra diesel and petrol models with manual transmission. For the Astra 2.0 CDTI Ecoflex is the price of 300 euros.
