After the world premiere last Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen Golf Cabrio is revealed in all its details, accompanied by an extensive photo gallery showing the new discovery of Wolfsburg in detail. This engine - the same that equips the sporty Golf GTI - promises acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.3 seconds and a maximum speed of no less than 235 km / h. Diesel engines are limited to only two units instead represented by valid and economical 1.6-liter TDI with 105 hp (4.8 l/100 km and 125 g / km of CO2) and 2.0-liter TDI with 140 hp (4.5 l / 100 km and 119 g / km CO2).
All engines are equipped as standard with a six-speed manual transmission as an alternative - the more powerful versions - can be equipped with the technological dual clutch DSG six-or seven-speed transmission. For those who want to optimize even more fuel consumption and pollutant emissions can opt for composition BlueMotion which provide a range of devices such as Stop & Start system, the recovery of kinetic energy during braking and tires with low rolling resistance.
