Audi R8: more powerful engines and restyled in 2012

Audi R8 could modify the engines, and further improve the performance of their supersport, at a small facelift expected during 2012. Car has collected some advances, according to which the current V8 and V10 will be developed and combined with an automatic dual-clutch S-Tronic 7-speed, while there is no confirmation about the availability of the classic manual open grill.

The Lamborghini V10 source will increase from 525 to 540 hp, while the V8 will receive the same specifications as the RS5, and will deliver 450 bhp (compared to the current 430 and 420 of the first series). Do not miss the GT and GT Spyder editions: in this case, we could even see the arrival of the 570 hp variant used on the Gallardo Superleggera, compared to 560 hp variants present.

Audi S6, S7, S8 and RS6: all supercharged with new 4.0 V8

Interesting advances on the technical details of the new Audi S8, S7, S6 and RS6, arriving here at 24 months. The heart of all these cars will be the 4.0 V8 engine developed in collaboration with Bentley and set in different capacities as needed. The first application of the new "eight-vu" end up on the S8 that will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

In this version, the engine will be fitted with turbochargers and 2 erogarà well 500 hp (+50 compared to the old S8) while providing lower power consumption by 20%, thanks also to the new 8-speed automatic transmission. In 2012 the spotlight will be focused instead on the new S6 and S7, which should be revealed at the show in Los Angeles, respectively, both will be equipped with eight-cylinder configuration 440 and 470 hp.

Render Audi A6 Allroad

Audi A2 postponed again. The R4 will not be

As reported yesterday by auto, motor und sport, Audi has decided to major changes to the programs of its future production of two models: the small A2, already postponed in January 2013 to 2015, has been postponed to 2016 hours. Worse, what happened to the R4, a compact mid-engined sports that many fans were waiting for: the model has been removed from Ingolstadt's future plans.

The R4 should have been born on the basis of Volkswagen BlueSport, two-seater roadster prototype presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2009. The proposed Wolfsburg however, will not arise any dell'R8 sister. What happened? Simple: the comparison within the Group, Porsche has had the upper hand, and his reasons have prevailed: a model such as the R4 would bother to both the baby to be born on a Boxster BlueSport both-in-part of the same next Boxster generation.

Audi R8 Spyder GT

Audi has confirmed the debut of the R8 Spyder GT in 2012, spreading as well as some sketches published in the official preview from Autocar. The model will be unveiled for the occasion of the 24th Le Mans in June next year and then officially debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with the same 5.2-liter V10 engine with 560 hp R8 Coupe GT combined with all-wheel drive.

Deliveries should begin in the spring of 2012. In all likelihood for the Spyder production will be limited to 333 pieces and will present the same distinctive features of the GT compared with other R8: special bumpers made of carbon fiber, alloy modified sports tailpipes, carbon-ceramic brakes, wing fixed rear, interior lightened and exclusive finishes for this model.

New Audi A3: First official sketches

Audi has released the first sketches of the new A3: the next generation of the model, as you see, will remain loyal to the current in setting, but would not give a more pronounced ribs will move in that particular side. The main innovation of the range, will be the introduction of the variant in three volumes.

Designed primarily for the U.S. and China, the sedan will come with the trunk still in Europe during 2012. This variant will be built on a platform slightly different from that of two volumes: its wheelbase will be 263 cm, 3 more than that adopted by other versions. The "sedan" will also be wider and lower, and in fact will continue in the proportions of the first-generation A4.

Audi quattro four-wheel drive hybrid will become

Beyond the various design differences, the rationale will be that dell'HYbrid4 Peugeot-Citroën: to obtain by combining all-wheel drive electric motors and heat up the rear end and front end. Audi is working on this kind of solution to develop its future in the four-wheel drive and four-tron. The German manufacturer has already prepared a forklift on an A5, the French Automobile Magazine have been trialling on ice and snow.

Render Audi A3 Sportback and Sedan A6 Allroad

New and "concrete" render dedicated Audi A3 Sportback and sedan and A6 Allroad, A6 Avant, which will result from the next. The latter is characterized by the lower portion of the fascia and fenders made of rough plastic, designed to withstand scratches and minor bumps. The body will, as usual, raised a few inches from the original derivation.

The A3 Concept unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show gave us instead of clear guidance on style and proportions of the new A3 sedan, which will be positioned under the A4 particularly captivated the American public. Instead, the A3 Sportback, derived therefrom, will probably be the top model in our market and European.

Audi R8 NF: the new generation will be lighter

Audi would develop an extremely lightweight version of the R8, called NF: apparently we are not faced with a new variant of supercoupè German (with the GT still fresh debut) as the first taste of the new model generation. The manufacturer makes no secret of wanting to implement their know-how on the construction of composite materials: the ultimate target is to reduce drastically the masses into play to ensure superior performance and lower fuel consumption and emissions.
