Geneva 2011: Land Rover introduces diesel plug-in hybrid

Land Rover is at the Geneva Motor Show (-13.3.2011) unveiled a prototype of a plug-in hybrid vehicle. The Range_e is to consume only 3.36 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. The CO2 emissions are in accordance with 89 grams per kilometer. For several months, some of the prototypes are tested in everyday life.

Land Rover will offer from 2013 models with diesel-electric hybrid drive. Based on the prototype shown in Geneva is the Range Rover Sport. The engineers completed while the 180 kW / 245 hp 3.0-liter TDV6 a parallel working electric motor with 69 kW / 94 hp. Geneva 2011: Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid coming in 2012

At the Geneva Motor Show (3 - 13.03.2011) will present the Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid, which is already 2012 on the market.
