BMW six-cylinder triturbo for the new M3. Still no decision on M1 and Z4 M

They come to the ambitious plans further confirmation that BMW is preparing for the future of the M3. After the brief of the current V8 mounted on E90, E92 and E93, it seems almost certain that the house will return to the German tradition, with a new six-cylinder in-line. But that will not be an aspirated "old school", but a modern turbocharged, which will exploit the pressure of three turbines, one of which is not driven by exhaust gas, but by a dedicated electric motor.

The new M3 should debut in 2014 and according to rumors her multi-cylinder will have a displacement of 3.3 liters and a maximum power output around 450 hp. The body panels and body of the car will consist of a mix of steel and carbon fiber ultraresistenziali. "We will focus increasingly on reducing fuel consumption and the M3 will prove it," says Friedrich Nitschke, a number of BMW Motorsport.

"This new approach, however, does not dilute the appeal of our sport of performance: the heir of the M1 is finally getting closer to reality. The M1 has a great story: the decision on the future of this project has not yet been taken, even if it's 11 years that is at stake. We'd love to achieve it.

" By keeping tight-lipped about the details of the project, Dr Nitschke has also touched on two other potentially interesting cars. The German manager has revealed that the Motorsport division is actually reflecting a variant of "track-oriented" of the successful BMW 1 Series M Coupe. And finally, coming to talk about a proposal that someone feels the lack, explained that "there are no plans to re-create the Z4 M, but it is wanting something that could be achieved easily."
