During the My Special Car Show di Rimini 2011 we had the opportunity to turn on the runway with external testers and Abarth brand with the latest news of the scorpion: Punto Abarth and Abarth 500 Rally Evo esseesse. The first, unveiled at the last Paris Motor Show, has a fine in the 1.4 version of 180 hp and 270 Nm of torque, front disc brakes with perforated and ventilated 305 mm rear disc brakes drilled 264 mm front brake pads high-performance front and rear Koni FSD dampers, lowered springs, 18-inch alloy wheels, Abarth exhaust BMC air filter and dual terminal.
The Abarth 500 Rally however, is the version specifically designed for rally racing, and in our short test drive was led by the official driver Luca Rossetti, currently involved in the Italian championship with the CIR Abarth Grande Punto S2000. The Rally is capable of 180 hp at 5500 rpm and is equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox and limited slip differential leaf.
The performance of the Rally cars are very different from any road, both for the maintenance of competition tires once at temperature, and for the hydraulic handbrake maneuvers allowing millimeter. The following is the official video of the Abarth made during the event Romagnolo.
