The BMW X3 M could become a reality, or at least that's what some rumors circulating in the environment. According to these rumors, in fact, the division of the Bavarian Motorsport is working at the sports version of the compact SUV, just on the heels of what has been done to her older sisters, namely BMW and x5m X6M.
To create some interest around the new M X3, BMW would be thinking of reserving a new engine, a unit equipped with a completely new and improved supercharging system than currently offered by the group on other models. The base would be the 3.0-liter straight-six, after having gained an increase in displacement to 3,200 cc, would implement three turbines, one electric, for a maximum power that should be about 450 horsepower and capable of giving a 'enviable flexibility, with a good recovery from low revs through the combined efforts of the new system triturbo.
Any BMW X3M may be submitted by 2012, then in all likelihood be on the market within a few months.
