The new Chevrolet Aveo will go on sale starting this summer. It comes in two body variants, the first two volumes and the second as a real sedan with three separate volumes. Both, however, will have five doors. This next-generation Aveo is a completely new car. From the exterior and interior design to the chassis (now more rigid, with a wheelbase of 2,525 mm and 1,509 mm of track), the body structure to the engines to date in terms of fuel consumption and emissions.
The experience of sports riding on the new Chevrolet Aveo is the main aspect that reflects the appeal of the car. Contributes to the character of the new integrated structure of the chassis and body is extremely rigid. A structure which in practice is presented as a single unit maintain the rigidity, mass optimization and security for passengers.
In case of accident, the roof can withstand four times the weight of the car. The front suspension is of MacPherson type with coil springs and stabilizer bar, rear ones have the torsion bar and trailing arms. Do not miss the electronic stability control (ESC) and the electric power steering, the latter available with 1.2 petrol engine and 1.3 turbo diesel.
There are six airbags and four-channel ABS. The overall design of the new Aveo forward grit, especially in the front. Here stand the headlights almost motorcycle-style and split grille with a central mark of the great house, which this year celebrates 100 years. Other elements of nature are the 5-spoke alloy wheels available from 15, 16 and 17 inches in diameter.
The petrol engines include two 1.2, 70 and 86 hp, a 1.4 100 bhp (130 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm) and a 1.6 16 v. 115 hp. In the autumn will add the 1.3 turbo diesel with common-rail injection and variable geometry compressor. Fuel consumption declared amounted to 5.1 l/100 km for the 1.2 86 PS and 6.6 l/100 km in the case of the 1.6 with manual transmission.
The Ecotec 1.2 has CO2 emissions of 119 g / km. With the 1.2 to 86 hp (115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm) traveling at 183 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 13.6 seconds. The small Chevrolet Aveo is the first available with the automatic transmission 6-speed GM Hydra-Matic, mounted on the same axis of the crankshaft to the benefit of the habitability inside.
Finally, a look at the sedan, which is wider and longer than the previous model (1,735 and 4,399 mm) with a load capacity of 502 liters.
