Ferrari Superamerica 45: debut at Villa d'Este 2011

Surely it is one of the protagonists of the most anticipated for the 2011 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, we're talking about the Ferrari Superamerica 45, the only one built on commission by Ferrari Design for the American collector Peter Kalikow under the Special Projects the Maranello. The event on Lake Como will therefore be an opportunity to deliver this unique car to its new owner, who will celebrate 45 years of Ferrari customer (that's the reason for the "45" in the name of the model) in the U.S.

taking a piece unique and valuable, which is characterized by the presence of a hard-top rotary built in carbon fiber, while the shape of the bonnet has been designed to improve aerodynamics and reduce drag, as well as to accommodate the roof elegantly once opened. The line of the Ferrari Superamerica 45 is, like nearly all cars from Modena, sporty and elegant at the same time, characterized by double-inlet air near the front wheel, while the grille has a chrome grille and color-ties in the A-pillars, also chrome.

The alloy wheels have body color and have races that give a nice visual diamond. Particularly significant is the color choice, this Blu Antilles going to recall the color of another collection of Kalikow Ferrari: the 400 Superamerica Cabriolet, 1961. The color is a bit 'darker, which provides a counter-effect, are other elements of the car body, like the roof, rear diffuser and some details of the passenger compartment, where there are skin-colored leather inserts.

Before being delivered to its owner to finish in his private collection in the U.S., the Ferrari Superamerica 45 will be available to those who will travel to Villa d'Este on May 20, when the famous Concours d'Elegance will officially open its doors.
