Will be on sale in a few weeks the new generation of Lancia Ypsilon, the compact Italian and the same house in Turin called a "pocket flagship. The new Ypsilon 2011 looks like this on the market with great ambitions and aims to become the new benchmark in the premium B segment. To hit this goal, the new small Lancia adds two more doors for the first time in its history, offers the public a 5-door body that could convince young families or those who, out of necessity or mere habit, they are unwilling to give up the convenience of two rear doors.
The news is still so much for this car already seen at the Geneva Motor Show. 3.84 meters long, 1.67 meters wide, 1.52 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.39 meters, the new Lancia Ypsilon points on style and luxury as is now customary for the Lancia brand, highlighting a ' soul chic that is enclosed within the definition of Fashion City-Car.
The technical content there and see players the new engine TwinAir that just recently won the coveted International Engine of the Year 2011, but there is also the possibility to opt for the diesel Multijet II complete with Start & Stop system offered on the whole range, with the addition of Blue & Me technology-TomTom LIVE, fuel systems, and Smart Magic Parking second generation.
Compared to the past is improved habitability and accessibility, in this case for obvious merit of the two rear doors and seats subtle details to debut on a model of the Fiat group, but also to grow the trunk that promises the most large segment. The range on offer at launch includes three trim levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum, for a total of more than 600 finishes.
The exterior colors are 16 in total, including four bi-color, while the interior you can choose from six different finishes. Are three engines, divided between two petrol, 1.2 Fire EVO II 69-horsepower and 900cc Twin 85 hp also available with the DFN semiautomatic, and a diesel, the 1.3 Multijet II 95 horses.
Among the accessories available as standard or options are the electronic stability control with ASR and a Hill Holder, ABS with EBD, manual air conditioning, radio with CD and MP3 player, electrically adjustable mirrors, front fog lamps, floor coatings leather, bi-xenon headlamps, LED rear lights and four or six airbags depending on grade.
The new Lancia Ypsilon will be distributed by June 2011 on several European markets for a price list that, for Italy, will start from 11,500 €, and then arrive in September in Britain and Ireland with the Chrysler brand.
