Lancia Ypsilon, here is the Chrysler version

During the press conference held in Turin, dedicated to the international presentation of the new Lancia Ypsilon, CEO Francois Olivier has unveiled a preview of the new face of Chrysler Ypsilon. The Chrysler brand is used in Ireland, the UK and other countries outside Europe, where it has a long-standing image as compared to the brand Lancia.

The pocket flagship Chrysler license plate differs little from its counterpart Lancia, except for some details like the new chrome grille adorned the center of the symbol of the American manufacturer and other details. The launch of the new Chrysler Ypsilon is the last piece of co-branding strategy that sees to the Lancia brand and Chrysler are closely intertwined, with models like the Chrysler 300 and Chrysler Grand Voyager on the side and from the Delta and Ypsilon Lancia .

Four models that interchange to form two distinct ranges belonging to as many brands, with different stories and adventures, but with a common future. The Ypsilon with U.S. passport will keep three versions of the Italian twin: Silver, Gold and Platinum, which combined with the long list of accessories can make over 600 customizations.

Same goes for the engines are concerned, the proposal will in fact Chrysler Ypsilon initially with two petrol units represented by the classic litriFire EVO II 1.2 69 bhp engine and the modern technological supercharged 0.9-liter 85 hp MultiAir, proposrto with the sequential gearbox DFN, there will be while on the compact, yet powerful 1.3-liter Multijet 95 bhp.

Although no official prices have been disclosed, it is likely that Chrysler is not in the Ypsilon - albeit slightly - from € 11,500 needed to buy the Lancia Ypsilon because of differences in tax burden of some countries and for positioning in fierce competition.
