For the championship celebration of the Borussia Dortmund on Sunday 15 May 2011, the first MAN, MAN Truck Convertible constructed. The truck of the type MAN TGX with 294 kW / 400 PS is a special edition for the new German football champions Borussia Dortmund. Thus, the BVB stars and the championship trophy will be in their title celebrations after the last game of the season with Dortmund chauffeured to the peace court.
"As a truck we have never built," said MAN Sales Executive Dr. Frank Hiller. "The BVB Convertible was developed by our engineers designed new and in a MAN-tuning workshop in the Eifel assembled for several weeks."
