Long live the Mille Miglia. An event that represents our country in the world. Because we all envy him, many would like to take part and tens of thousands of visitors each year enjoy a show all Italian. Just try it. Even this 29 ^ reenactment of the Mille Miglia - the race that was pure speed from 1924 to 1957 - got the success it deserves.
Whether used for major organizational efforts by Event Mac, both for the content they are hardly equal in the world in other similar events. From Brescia to Brescia via Rome. Three days of competition "no stop" - with a few, very few hours of sleep - which ended yesterday (Saturday, May 14) crowned the winner by the expert team made "regular" white lead Jordan Hubs and Stephanie, who have established themselves among the 375 at the start with their Aston Martin Le Mans in 1933.
Beyond the purely sporting aspects, the race that bears the emblem of the red arrow has lived its final stage yesterday (Rome-Brescia) its best conclusion. Went through four regions (Lazio, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna and Lombardy) and covered the beauty of 680 km (all on back roads, of course), but most were accompanied by the perennial presence of the public.
Just in the Tour of Italy cycling style. A unique spectacle. People were not there by chance: it was there just to see the 1000 Miles. Classic cars from all over Europe in a sort of mega-rally to honor and encourage the teams already weary but still a long way to go. Camper, picnics on the roadside, cheering and admiring glances for some of the most beautiful and valuable vintage cars that can be seen around the world.
The magic moment of the third and final stage was definitely crossing the Futa and Raticosa steps: here was celebrated the festival of the Mille Miglia with viewers all over the place and vintage cars in every corner. Just as you can forget the catwalks in the historical center of Rome, Siena, Florence, Bologna, Modena, Parma.
We Italians do not even realize what experience can be for participants from abroad, thanks to the Mille Miglia have a front row seat to enjoy the Piazza San Pietro, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza del Campo, Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio ... All these elements alone can overshadow the more mundane aspects of the event, which brought along his crowd of VIPs and celebrities.
First popularity and sympathy for the British actor Rowan Atkinson, famous for his comic portrayal of Mr. Been. Then the wonderful godmother Madalina Ghenea that - to be frank - can never compete with the charm of the one, unique 1000 Miglia Italian.
