New Mercedes E-Class 2011

The update of the 2011 Mercedes E-Class mainly concerns the engine and its transmission, this is because the intention of the German House is to reduce both fuel consumption and emissions. The E-Class model year 2011 have been even a small change in the bridge, because the instrumentation is now complemented by a color TFT screen with new features.

E 'range was extended to the fuel system on the V6 and V8 BlueDIRECT E350 and E500, this together with the 7G Tronic Plus combined with the 4 cylinder. But do not stop there, as even the Start and Stop system is equipped with a new torque converter. In addition to these changes we can see that the powers are slightly changed, but none the less consumption will be reduced.

The 3.5-liter V6 engine in the E350 comes with a power of 306 hp, but the average consumption of 6.8 l/100 km and are the emissions amounted to 160 g / km. The E 500 V8 instead adopts the twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 with power ranging from 408 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Its consumption stood at 8.9 l/100 km, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is reached in 5.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 250 km / h.

As for the diesel versions have the E 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY 170 hp with fuel consumption by 5.0 l/100 km and 129 g / km with a manual transmission, reduction of 4.9 l/100 km with an automatic transmission. The E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY has an output of 204 hp and represent only 5.3 l/100 km and emission of 138 g / km with the automatic transmission.

The smaller the range, the Mercedes E 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with 136 hp, however, with manual transmission consumes just 5.1 l/100 km.
