New BMW 1 Series: waiting Frankfurt

They have been around the Web images of the new BMW 1 Series that saw the Bavarian spread well in advance from the plans. The official debut of the new model, however, will be held at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Modern style, in keeping with the dictates of the stylistic range of the German group, and better living space are the two main changes that the new generation of compact introduces Monaco.

The length increases by 8.5 cm, bringing the total size to 4.32 meters thus, together with the step of 2.69 meters (increased by 3 cm), to give a capacity of 360 liters, with a space on board improved comfort and respectable. Five units will be provided by BMW to launch, two petrol and three diesel.

Among the first signals the debut of starvation 1.6 turbo, a four-cylinder engine offered in two different power levels, with 136 and 170 horsepower, while diesel is on the side indicate the 116d variants from 115 hp, the 118d with 143 hp and 120d from 184 horses. For all engines will be available EfficientDynamics technologies, the system of energy recovery during braking and the Stop & Start system.

Arriving at a later time the two powerful petrol engines and 6 cylinders 2.0 Twinpower Twinpower 3.0, with the possibility of a version with four-wheel drive.
