Alfa Romeo: press at Villa d'Este 2011 to Highway 33 and 6C 2500 SS

Alfa Romeo ago cornered the votes at Villa d'Este 2011: a 33 Road and a 6C 2500 SS were in fact awarded the Trofeo BMW Group, respectively, the Best in Show and the Gold Cup, which is the first prize. The 6C 2500 SS 1942, in particular, was designed by Bertone and is owned by Italian collector Corrado Presti, has worked for years in major competitions in the world for vintage cars Italian cars with the highest level.

The 6C 2500 SS is equipped with the latest version of the drive 6-cylinder inline 2.5-liter, 3 carburetors, capable of 110 hp and about 160 km / h, top performance for the period. The model went through several versions in the period from the late '30s until 1952 el'esemplare exposed to Villa d'Este is unique, designed by Mario Revelli di Beaumont for Carrozzeria Bertone.

The Joy of English 33 Clive Road is one of only 18 copies made by Franco Scaglione and won both the Best in Show jury, chaired by Lorenzo Ramaciotti of the Fiat group, both the Trofeo BMW Group, chosen by the audience. If the audience award is not surprising, it is rather unusual for the jury to give the Villa d'Este Best in Show at a car so "young", after years of victories attributed to rare and magnificent pre-war cars.
