The Ferrari P4 / 5 by James Glickenhaus competition could turn into a sports car road in limited numbers. The supercar sought by American collectors, ideally derived from the prototype in a single P4 / 5 (a born again suoa based Ferrari Enzo), was until now considered only as a "dream" of the owner, decided to race it at his own expense in competitions such as the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.
The project has reached a crossroads, however, since a dispute regulation do not allow the vehicle to express their potential. The car would have to be equipped with a system of active aerodynamics, to find the right balance between very good grip in the corners and the lack of speed on the straights the car now charge.
The competition, remember, is derived from the Ferrari F430 GT2 and is listed at 24 of the Nurburgring in the new category EXP1, with the help of Pirelli is ready to provide as many as 800 tires to use during the race for an endless series of tests. If the team fails to reach an agreement with the organizers, plans Glickenhaus may fade dramatically: as reported by Autoblog.
