The Fluence Renault ZE electric prize

A Renault Fluence ZE was ranked first in the rally of 300 km "Challenge Bibendum 2011", all done in urban areas. A remarkable result for an electric car that competed with traditional cars with internal combustion. The race will take part in both zero-emission vehicle, "as the winner, and those powered by hydrogen-cell battery.

The success, in fact, is not only achieved on the field but also those resulting from emissions of CO2 calculated from a team of experts from Michelin, which took over 57 grams per kilometer, even lower than 8% compared to officers. But is not everything, since he received 3 more titles: the French car was also ranked first as regards the performance as in the hands of a professional driver Renault, on a circuit official, beat the travel times of the most Tesla performing.

A second important result was that relating to energy consumption: in 2011 Challenge Bibendum is the one that consumed less energy, stopping at 37.44 kWh equivalent to a range of 215 km. The last prize in chronological order has to do with the deisgn for the best solution to charging mode.

During the rally, the Fluence ZE had - inevitably - make a change of batteries in order to continue the race. The replacement took 6 minutes and was performed manually, without the use of particular instruments.
